I developed a demonstration scene highlighting the Ottawa Senators’ stadium LED boards and the Viz Engine. This project was requested by Panasonic Xpressions for demonstration purposes. Using Viz Scripting allowed for control through keyboard input only (no client machine).
The 3D model of the stadium was modified in Cinema 4D, then imported into Viz Artist. Elements were textured, effects were added, and animations created. The primary focus was the LED boards, so most of the stadium doesn't have much detail. Special attention was paid to the lighting above, the rink below, and board itself.
Because the client was showing this stadium in a demo with only one Viz Engine available, they could not use a Viz Trio client to control the playback. No touchscreen was available either. So the solution required a customized scene script that allowed keyboard input to control the cameras within the stadium. Through this script the user can smoothly animate the cameras to several locations in the stadium, or they can switch to looping cameras.
