At Fox Sports I've made a few contributions to the Virtual Car project in Vizrt. The battery box, oil tank, and master cylinder were all added or modified while I was working with this touchscreen Vizrt scene.
The menu system allows hosts to easily select whichever part of the car they want to show, then the camera automatically animates from its current position to the necessary one. This technique and all the internal communication uses DataPool.
Cinema 4D is the primary 3D modeling software used to create all the parts, but then all animations and materials are edited in Vizrt.
